i'll try to keep this short and simple.
The program "Courants" (created 1992), is organised by the association "Maison des Cultures du Monde", by the initiative of the French Ministry of Culture & Communication in cooperation with the French Ministry of Foreign Affairs. It is aimed at french-speaking professionals of the cultural sector from all over the world, holding a key position in a governmental or non-governmental cultural organization in their countries. So, due to my work as the National network coordinator for the Anna Lindh Foundation, I'm here for three weeks of a specially designed program "Finance and economy of culture" in the university Paris Dauphine, considered the best place in France for studying the management of cultural organizations.

Our group at Dauphine consists of 24 people from 20 countries:
Argentina, Azerbaijan, Benin, Brazil, Bulgaria, Burundi, Cameroon, Chad, China/ Hong Kong, Columbia, Croatia, Haiti, Ivory Coast, Latvia (and that would be me), Madagascar, Peru, Portugal, Romania, Spain, Togo.
Yep, nice company I have.
The whole number of participants: 120 from 55 countries, we've all met at the two opening days and will meet again at the two closing days in December. Meeting some of them in between as well.

liig. is having a cute little apartment near Trocadero (the place where from all the tourists take photos of the Eiffel tower). Good life indeed. But, hey, I've been working hard to get here.
Hm. turned out to be quite official.
(come back for more of emotion in the next posts :p oh, and photos too!)
