a dense weekend. from a life-filled heart-to-heart, through early morning walks/runs in the foggy pine forest, via nephew's 1st birthday moment of old truth*, a (pseudo?)scientific conference, the golden autumn and driving around, stories of two american summers topped with the best McDonald's (midnight) meal i've ever had, to an unbelievable/unexpected international ngo-er meeting of temporary Riga-ers, bro's time and a motivating late-night shift working on project proposals.
i think i might soon be back in the game.
starting the car the "ice alert" appears and i've already spent the first glove-day and felt the toes going numb.
good time to go south. two more days left till the departure to deal with the same impossible. some things just won't change.
the miracle is not in the show nor winning the lottery, nor being healed.
the miracle is in having faith, deflating your swollen ego and rejoicing in the day and moment that you are living. living not (only) on your own account, let's be honest. give life some praise and thanks.
*kids grow fast, time flies and none of us are getting younger. that fragile yet tough little diapered-up thingy now looks like a real human being, standing on his own feet and saying at least one perfectly articulated latvian-language word among the rest.
and me? i'm two steps closer, celebrating life.
